Each point on the map represents a location where LEBI's members and contributors conducted bird sampling for research projects. The map currently displays bird sampling sites and reflects the laboratory's extensive fieldwork and commitment to advancing biodiversity research and generating scientific knowledge across diverse natural environments. The samples collected during these expeditions are housed in the Ornithological Collection of the Museu de História Natural da Bahia (MHNBA), which currently holds more than 3,300 bird specimens, serving as an important repository for biodiversity research and future scientific studies.
